The building was acquired in 2021 and, at the time, was leased for one-third to a single tenant. The remaining 11,000 m² l.f.a. was in a very outdated condition and required a refreshing makeover. A new concept with many shared facilities was chosen. The new layout made room for a shared reception area, coffee bar, and restaurant, as well as many seating areas, nine meeting rooms, a gym, and public bike sharing. The building owes its name to the big tree growing in the coffee bar and the frequent use of felled trees from the Utrecht area, which were given a place in the interior. Recycled plastic was used for the sound-absorbing ceilings. A unique feature in the building are the shadow patterns of various trees in the rugs.
